Tonight, you will have your best chance for a good night of sleep for a while. Clear skies and decreasing winds will allow temperatures to drop into the 50s in many locations. There’s even a chance to see the Aurora Borealis over the Inland Northwest.
Once you’re rested, get your bike rides, dog walks, and yard work done early. The warming trend kicks off Sunday, and once it starts, it’s going to keep getting hotter and hotter through next week! In the meantime, expect seasonably warm temperatures on Saturday. We will top out in the mid to upper 80s, which is about average. This is the hottest time of the year, after all. If your activities take you to the northern mountains, there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will peak in the lower 90s on Sunday with sunshine. We will continue to warm every day until temperatures close in on 100° by next Friday!
