Brace yourself for the warmest temps of the year so far! -Emily

SPOKANE, Wash. — We’re under an Excessive Heat Warning through Friday at 11:00 PM!

Today is the warmest day of the year and the coolest day of the upcoming week. Temperatures are going to climb each day through Thursday when we’re projected to hit 104 degrees.

The bigger discomfort and concern here is that our overnight temps won’t be dropping below 66 degrees, the way they typically would in this kind of heat wave. So while we usually have the chance to cool off our apartments and homes (without AC) during the nighttime, we won’t be getting much relief in this way for the week ahead. We’ll cool off into the upper-90s for the weekend. In the meantime, look out for yourself- pets, children, the elderly, and others vulnerable in this heat.

The overnight low of 66 is as cool as we'll be till next week.
