It has been a noisy night for thunderstorms in Spokane! Small hail, lots of cloud to ground lightning, heavy downpours and up to 40 mph wind gusts will have people talking through Monday morning. We will still have the chance of showers overnight tonight. I wouldn’t rule out an isolated rumble of thunder, but the heavy stuff is wrapping up. That said, the chance of showers and possible thunderstorms returns for Saturday.
My Mother’s Day traditions all involve getting outdoors. Other than breakfast in bed, it’s a weekend full of bike rides, golf, dog walks, planting flowers and it ends up with a BBQd steak dinner on the deck. NOT THIS WEEKEND. I asked the kids to take me to see the new Marvel movie. That’s because it’s going to be a cool, breezy and, at-times, stormy next few days. Most of the rain and thunderstorms will be over by Sunday, but temperatures will be more than 15 degrees below average. With a possible frost Sunday morning and into early next week, we will hold off on the planting, too. Expect the cool, showery weather to continue through next work week!
